I Just Cut My Hotel Costs from $488.65 to $285.27

Yesterday, I posted a link a checklist to save money on a hotel room.  So I decided I’d follow my friend’s advice, and use it on my upcoming vacation.

The end result:

$488.65 if I booked hotel rates

$433.27 from the best deals found on various travel sites

$285.27 by following his tips

Jason Ishibashi For my professional blog, go to:
PenguinCAST

Formerly known as The Financial Penguin, Jason graduated with a degree in Computer Science and currently works on the Airshow Moving Map systems for business/regional jets and airlines. He combines his interests in education, technology, philosophy, leadership, teamwork, time management, and photography in weird ways as demonstrated on his many outlets now branded as penguinCAST.

Outside of work, Jason is involved in Future Business Leaders of America Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), Destination ImagiNation (DI), and the President’s Scholars program at Cal State Fullerton.

Jason frequently judges FBLA-PBL events for both the high school and collegiate divisions. He also tries to attend networking and mentoring events. See him this year at the FBLA-PBL National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California!

Destination ImagiNation is a creative problem solving program for K-12 students with programs for community groups and University students. Jason currently serves as the LA-DI-Land Tournament Director serving Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. He formerly served as Co-Regional Director for the LA-DI-Land Region while in University.

Jason continues to be involved with the President’s Scholars program at California State University Fullerton. As a President’s Scholar alumnus, and former Co-president of the President Scholars Student Association he organized community service events, helped manage the student social activities, and helped promote the program to incoming students. Now he gives back to the program as a President’s Associate.
